This is the QB the Eagles preferred over Tim Tebow

The Jacksonville Jaguars cut quarterback Stephen Morris Friday, but he found a new job this weekend as Tim Tebow’s replacement in Philadelphia.

After the Eagles released Tebow Saturday, leaving the team with just two quarterbacks on the roster, coach Chip Kelly said in a press conference that he planned to add a third QB — and chose to sign Morris, a 23-year-old who has yet to appear in a regular-season NFL game.

Morris, who played college football at Miami, went undrafted in 2014 and signed with the Jaguars, but failed to make the 53-man roster and signed onto Jacksonville’s practice squad.
