SAN ANTONIO — It seems almost everybody wanted to come here this week. But not everybody's staying.
On a week when the Final Four is set to invade the nearby Alamodome and Jack Nicklaus made his first appearance at the Valero Texas Open, an impressive field of PGA Tour players made their way to TPC San Antonio in advance of the year's first major tournament.
But many of the biggest names who came to the Oaks Course were sent packing early. Pre-tournament favorites and the reigning champ were all part of the carnage at the tournament, which was first played in 1922 and is the third oldest on the PGA Tour.
