She has won the most world medals on the international stage of any American gymnast in history —14, which includes 10 gold.
She has been called the best gymnast who ever lived. And she’s only 19.

The only place from which we’ve not heard much of Simone Biles has been the Olympics. That’s about to change, because on Tuesday afternoon, Biles is projected to break through with her first gold medal here, and there’s the potential that four more could follow.
