NAZARETH, Pa. — Past the cornfields and a small industrial plant, past the Brazilian steakhouse and the Latin fusion restaurant, among the rolling hills and quiet streets of this quaint Pennsylvania town, Sage Karam’s racing career took root.
Karam was 4, and his family had just moved here from nearby Easton. His father, Jody, had always loved car racing but never pursued it.
So as the Karams’ house was being built on two acres on the outskirts of Nazareth, Jody Karam, a high school wrestling coach, carved out a dirt track around the foundation.
