The controversy has engulfed the team since Tuesday, when Adam LaRoche told teammates he was retiring because of a disagreement with team VP Ken Williams over the amount of time his 14-year-old son was spending in the clubhouse.

According to the Tribune, chairman Jerry Reinsdorf is meeting with players and staff to talk about the issue, and the front office is mum until those meetings are finished.
