You know what I'm talking about. They're the trite, hackneyed, head-scratching expressions we've heard a million times from NFL announcers and analysts on CBS, NBC, Fox, ESPN and NFL Network.
They take up air time, but add little to the broadcast or to viewers understanding of the game.
