Despite his battle with leukemia, sideline reporter Craig Sager continued to work for TNT last season. Sager was unable to cover his fifth straight Olympics this summer while waiting to receive a third bone marrow transplant. And now thanks to an anonymous donor, Sager will undergo his third bone marrow and stem cell transplant in the past three years.
His son Craig Sager II, announced the news about his father on Twitter:
Thanks to an anonymous donor, tmrw my Dad will enter an unimaginable milestone w/ his 3rd bone marrow/stem cell transplant in a 3year spanud83dude4fud83dudcaa
This is obviously great news as Sager has been a constant presence in the NBA for over two decades and is well liked by everyone that has come in contact with him.
