Texas coach Steve Sarkisian heaped praise on former Texas Longhorn Matthew Golden after the wide receiver was drafted by the Green Bay Packers with the 23rd pick in the first round of the NFL Draft. Sark praised the Houston native's work ethic, athleticism, hands, play style and personality.
Even though he spent only one year in Austin, Golden still managed to make a big impression, leading Texas in receiving yards and becoming a go-to target in big moments for a CFP team in 2024. Now, Golden -- who ran 4.29 in the 40-yard dash at the combine -- is headed to Green Bay as a first-round pick.
