Devon Still missed the entire 2015 NFL season while caring for his daughter, Leah, during her cancer treatments. Unfortunately for Still, his 2016 season is over.
Still was supposed to replace J.J. Watt after Watt was placed on injured reserve with a back injury. Instead, Still joined Watt on the IR on Tuesday following surgery to repair a Lisfranc foot sprain.
"It's tough," Texans coach Bill O'Brien told reporters, via the Houston Chronicle. "As soon as they diagnosed it, they went ahead and operated on him. I think that's a tough thing. Obviously, Devon being a Penn State guy and what he's gone through the past couple of years with his daughter, Leah.
