Quessenberry, 25, was released with a non-football injury designation, which leaves the Texans with the option to place him on the non-football injury list after he clears waivers. He spent the past two seasons on the non-football illness list while working to regain bulk and strength after battling non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
