Free-agent NFL defensive tackle Terrence Cody was found guilty Monday on multiple neglect charges involving animal cruelty.
The Baltimore Sun's Alison Knezevich reported the news, saying Cody was acquitted of the most serious animal cruelty charges, but he will face sentencing January 5.
Cody turned himself in this February and was indicted on 15 charges of animal abuse and neglect, per CBS Baltimore. He failed to provide his dog, Taz, with adequate veterinary care and nutrition and, according to court documents cited in that report, "intentionally tortured" the animal.
