Tennessee students protest 'rape culture' in athletic department while AD meets media

Students at the University of Tennessee protested Thursday afternoon in support of the alleged rape victims cited in a lawsuit against the university.

The protesters were on hand outside Athletic Director Dave Hart's press conference about the Title IX lawsuit brought against Tennessee, The Tennessean reported.

By Thursday morning, eight female plaintiffs had alleged they were assaulted by Tennessee athletes and that the university created a culture where athletes were not held accountable for their actions.
