Pat Summitt will be honored by the Tennessee football team when the Volunteers take the field against Appalachian State Thursday night at Neyland Stadium.
Coach Butch Jones announced on Saturday that a commemorative decal will be worn on the team's helmets for the 2016 season to honor Summitt, who died June 28 from complications of early-onset Alzheimer's disease.
