SONOMA, Calif. — NASCAR is racing on Sunday in the Napa Valley, one of the most beautiful, serene settings on the Sprint Cup circuit.
Fans stroll around the hilly track like they're hanging out at the county fair (there is a Ferris wheel, two of them actually, on track property). They sip wine instead of guzzling beer. There are sheep grazing on the hillsides.

It is supposed to be among the circuit's calmest, most peaceful tracks, where California race fans watch drivers maneuver colorful stock cars through the winding hills and curves of the 2.
