Free-agent safety Taylor Mays reportedly spent time in a treatment facility after twice violating the NFL's substance abuse policy during the offseason.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Mays spent "several weeks" in the facility and is eligible to be reinstated by the NFL on Monday.
Mays was suspended for the first four games of the 2016 NFL regular season for a violation in March and an additional four games for another violation.
The Cincinnati Bengals signed Mays during the offseason, but they released him when it became clear he would miss eight games.
