Super Bowl 2022 Live Updates: Trick Play Gets Bengals in the End Zone

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford can throw an errant pass or interception from time to time. But he has looked nearly perfect to start this Super Bowl.

After throwing a touchdown to receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to open the scoring, Stafford found his top receiver, Cooper Kupp, in the corner of the end zone for a second touchdown, pushing the Rams’ lead to 13-3 two minutes into the second quarter.

Kupp burned Bengals cornerback Eli Apple, and sprinted left to right across the end zone, where Stafford found him for the score.

Kupp, who was named Offensive Player of the Year, now has 21 touchdowns during the season including the playoffs, three behind the record of 24 (set by Randy Moss in 2007).
