From college star to minor leaguer never better than the other guy on the depth chart, Jeff Zatkoff wanted so badly for everyone to believe in him again, it brought him to tears.
For at least one night in the 2016 Stanley Cup playoffs, he was a star once again.

“Put up or shut up,” Mark Morris, Zatkoff’s coach with the AHL’s Manchester Monarchs from 2008-12, told Sporting News. “He’s one of those guys that I’m sure beating the odds or having the ability to shut somebody down is a goal; to quell that type of attitude that may persist out there.
