Elysian Park Avenue, a street that leads to Dodger Stadium, was formally renamed Vin Scully Avenue during a ceremony on Monday.

Scully, the longtime Dodgers broadcaster, once declined the offer to have the road named after him, the Press-Enterprise notes.
Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, councilman Gil Cedillo, whose district includes Dodger Stadium, and Dodgers president and CEO Stan Kasten were all in attendance.

The renaming of the street also gives the ballpark a new address: 1000 Vin Scully Avenue.
