The 22-year-old was signed from Everton in a massive deal over the course of the summer and has slotted right into Pep Guardiola's starting XI, making a total of 19 appearances in all competitions.
Stones has filled in capably for injured captain Vincent Kompany, helping City move just one point behind Premier League leaders Chelsea.
And Summerbee has been impressed by the former Everton man's willingness to assume extra responsibility in the absence of Kompany, adding that he is an admirer of the England international's technical abilities.
