BALTIMORE — Steve Smith Sr. didn’t look or feel much like celebrating after his Ravens lost for the first time this season Sunday. One of his first comments after the 28-27 defeat by the Raiders was to call himself a "moron" for running the wrong route early in the game.
But he did acknowledge briefly that along with his milestones reached, his fourth-quarter touchdown that got them back into the game, and his role in giving the Ravens a chance at the end, he was closing in on a significant date in his long career.

The day before the loss was the 11-month anniversary of the double Achilles tendon rupture that ended Smith’s 2015 season; his rehab began about a week later, he noted.
