While all eyes were on a potential Aaron Rodgers announcement at Big Night AHT, fans of the Black and Gold were treated to something a whole lot sweeter—a surprise appearance from the legendary two-time Super Bowl champion, former Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger.
Roethlisberger, who spent 18 years in Pittsburgh, was joined onstage by 2024 NL Rookie of the Year and Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes, as well as Penguins legends Sidney Crosby, Kris Letang, and Evgeni Malkin.
Roethlisberger was tasked with throwing one of three footballs through a "10-by-10 hoop" hanging from the ceiling, with each completed throw adding $1 million to a pot that would be taken home by a random fan.
