Heading into the 2025 season, a growing concern surrounding the Pittsburgh Steelers' defense is Minkah Fitzpatrick's recent fall from glory. After two less-than-spectacular seasons, trading Fitzpatrick away may seem like the only solution—a notion insider Ray Fittipaldo recently shot down.
Fittipaldo, in Wednesday's Steelers Chat on the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, was asked why the Pittsburgh Steelers aren't looking to move on from Fitzpatrick in exchange for quality draft capital—and he didn't hold back in his response:
"What's the trade market for an aging safety with a $22 million cap hit? I'll tell you. Nonexistent.
