After being shot twice in the head in November, Stedman Bailey will make his return to the football field in 2016 — just not the way he once hoped.
The former Rams wide receiver and West Virginia standout will spend the 2016 football season with the Mountaineers as a student assistant coach, the school announced Sunday.

The Rams waived the wide receiver in June, but were expected to bring Bailey back in a non-football capacity. Instead, he's decided to return to West Virginia, where he played from 2010 to 2012.
