Having some teeth missing is one of the classic hockey player stereotypes. Red Wings center Pavel Datsyuk officially qualifies.
Datsyuk had a tooth knocked out during the second period of Friday's Stanley Cup playoff game against the Lightning.

After getting hit in the mouth by Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman, Datsyuk checked Hedman into the board and was assessed a roughing penalty. What the officials missed, however, was that Hedman's punch knocked out one of Datsyuk's teeth.
