Thursday's Stanley Cup playoffs opener between the Flyers and Capitals was chippy throughout, and tensions finally boiled over in the third period.
Just after Washington's Tom Wilson was penalized for boarding for a hit on Andrew MacDonald, Philadelphia winger Wayne Simmonds skated over to Wilson and dropped his gloves. Wilson shoved Simmonds and the two threw down. The linemen finally broke up the fight after Simmonds knocked Wilson to the ice.

Instead of the Flyers going on a power play down 1-0 with 6:51 remaining in the third period, Simmonds missed the remainder of regulation.
