If there was an 8-team playoff field, tonight's Pac-12 title game would have a much more important feel to it, but conference commissioner Larry Scott isn't for expanding the field. "I have not been in favor of that," he said. "I think as we balance the importance of the bowls, the traditions that the Pac-12 has with the Rose Bowl and others, I think it's been great for college football that we've moved to a playoff. But I think four is the right number."
