I watched Friday as delirious Chicago Bulls fans celebrated after Derrick Rose banked in a 3-point shot with no time left to give his team a 99-96 victory and a 2-1 series lead over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Rose is the hero again.
As pandemonium broke out at United Center, with fans hugging one another and slapping high-fives, I saw two traits that distinguish sports fans from everyone else: They live for the moment, and they have terrible memories.
How many of those same ecstatic Bulls fans excoriated Rose earlier this season when he refused to rush back to action after aggravating an injury?
