Sepp Blatter, FIFA’s president, has lodged an appeal of a 90-day suspension, his lawyers said, and has asked FIFA’s ethics committee to release the reasons for the suspension. Michel Platini, president of the European soccer federation, has said he will fight his own 90-day suspension.
