Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson was feeling better and was on track to return for the N.B.A. finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers next week, his father, Mychal Thompson, said.
Klay Thompson, an All-Star, had what team officials described as concussionlike symptoms after taking a knee to the head from the Houston Rockets’ Trevor Ariza in Game 5 of the Western Conference finals Wednesday.
Mychal Thompson said that his son’s energy was up and his appetite was back, but that he still needed to pass the league-mandated concussion protocol. Klay Thompson was scheduled to be evaluated by a neurologist Friday.
