Bart Starr, the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame quarterback, is participating in a clinical trial using stem cells as a possible treatment for strokes. Starr had two strokes and a mild heart attack last September. His family said in a statement Wednesday that Starr is participating in the trial. Starr, 81, led the Packers to five N.F.L. championships and wins in the first two Super Bowls.
