Adam Yates of Britain claimed the biggest victory of his career, winning the one-day Clásica San Sebastián. Yates, an OricaGreenEDGE rider, whose twin, Simon, also rides for the team, moved clear of the pack on the final climb, a steep ascent about four miles from the finish. He held off a group of riders to cross the finish line of the 136-mile race in first place. Philippe Gilbert of Belgium was second, and Alejandro Valverde was third of Spain.
