Rutgers defensive back Darian Dailey was arrested on a robbery charge, the sheriff’s office in Sarasota County, Fla., said Monday.
The office told the television station WFTS that Dailey and another man had used a gun while demanding money from a bicyclist early Sunday and that the two had then been arrested in neighboring Manatee County. Dailey, 19, of Bradenton, and Trazelle Johnson, 19, of Sarasota, were held in the Manatee County Jail on Monday on charges of robbery with a firearm.
Rutgers Coach Kyle Flood told WFTS that university officials were aware of the situation.
