PEORIA — Colby Muise had one of the greatest seasons by a goaltender in the history of the SPHL in 2024-25.

And the league tipped its cap to the man who tipped over the net after shutouts this season, naming the Peoria Rivermen star the SPHL Goaltender of the Year on Tuesday.

Muise went 23-3-5 for the SPHL William B. Coffey Trophy winners who posted 40 wins on the way to the regular-season championship.

He had a league-best 1.68 goals-against average, a league-best .933 saves rate and eight shutouts, the latter double what the next closest goaltender posted.
