Sparta Prague goalkeeper Tomas Koubek has apologized after insisting "women should stay in the kitchen" rather than referee men's soccer games.
The 24-year-old was speaking after Brno, which sits 14th in the Czech First League, had benefited from a missed offside call by Lucie Ratajova to score a stoppage-time equalizer and hold 33-time league winners to a 3-3 draw.
"The whole nation saw that it was offside," Koubek told reporters. "My opinion is that women should stay in the kitchen and not decide men's football."
Koubek has since posted a picture of his wife and young daughter on his official Facebook page on Monday and apologized for his comments.
