The University of Georgia’s misfortune turned out to be a gold mine for Ludacris.
The Georgia-based rapper was paid $65,000 and compensated with other items, including condoms, for a performance at UGA’s G-Day spring football game event, according to a contract obtained by the Macon Telegraph.

UGA athletic director Greg McGarity announced last Tuesday, just days ahead of Saturday’s spring game, that the university had been unable to book a musical act for the game. The rapper — a three-time Grammy winner — contacted the school the next day and agreed to the deal.
