Free agent point guard Jalen Brunson is scheduled to meet with a few teams, headlined by the New York Knicks and Dallas Mavericks, on the first day of NBA free agency, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
The free agency period begins Thursday at 6 p.m. ET.
Brunson will hold free agent meetings in New York, sources said.
The Mavericks will be given an opportunity to present an offer sweet enough to entice the four-year veteran into re-signing. Owner Mark Cuban, general manager Nico Harrison, head coach Jason Kidd and potentially a few players are expected to attend the meeting, sources said.
