The Jacksonville Jaguars are planning to hire Doug Marrone as their head coach and Tom Coughlin as their executive vice president of football operations, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Jacksonville also will sign general manager Dave Caldwell to a two-year extension, sources told Schefter, meaning that Caldwell, Marrone and Coughlin all will have matching three-year deals with the Jaguars.
Marrone will be promoted after serving as the Jaguars' interim coach to finish the season. He went 1-1 following the firing of Gus Bradley in December.
Coughlin, 70, was the first head coach in Jaguars franchise history and guided Jacksonville to an appearance in the 1999 AFC championship during his eight-year stint with the team.
