Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield passed two concussion tests over the weekend, brightening prospects for his availability in Saturday's Bedlam game vs. Oklahoma State, The Oklahoman reported Monday.
The newspaper said the Heisman candidate passed tests during Saturday's 30-29 win over TCU, and again Sunday.
Mayfield will continue to be monitored. More information is expected later Monday from coach Bob Stoops during his regular media availability.
Mayfield was struck in the helmet from behind by TCU linebacker Ty Summers. He stayed in the game and even threw a touchdown pass but later complained of headaches.
