MEXICO CITY — The Houston Texans’ offense had more to deal with than the Oakland Raiders during the second quarter of Monday night’s game.
Someone from the Azteca Stadium crowd 75,000-plus shone a high-powered green laser pointer at Texans running back Akeem Hunt and quarterback Brock Osweiler on successive plays. It’s unknown whether the tactic negatively affected either player but the use of laser pointers is prohibited at NFL games.

Laser pointers also were banned by FIFA after prior incidents at soccer matches. Even so, star players Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo were among those who were still targeted.
