So who is going to end up on Team USA for the 2016 Rio Olympics?

Add another to the list of USA men's basketball stars who won't be helping defend the 2012 gold medal in this summer's Rio Olympics. The Clippers’ Blake Griffin had a bone-marrow treatment for his injured left quad last month, and he officially pulled his name from Team USA consideration Friday.

Team USA is now down four members of its 31-player pool. Chris Paul withdrew in order to rest this summer, and then broke his hand during the playoffs. Anthony Davis had shoulder surgery, and John Wall had knee surgery. Kobe Bryant has retired, and 2012 team members Tyson Chandler and Deron Williams have not been invited to be part of the team’s pool.
