Although the medical diagnosis on his injured left knee wasn’t as bad as initially feared, Tampa Bay wide receiver Vincent Jackson won’t be playing again in 2016.
Two sources told Sporting News that additional testing revealed Jackson didn’t suffer a torn anterior cruciate ligament during last month’s 17-14 road win over Carolina. However, Jackson did sustain enough knee damage that the 12-year NFL veteran will remain on Tampa Bay’s injured reserve list even though he is eligible to return before season’s end.
