Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby has been diagnosed with a concussion, the team announced.
Head coach Mike Sullivan told reporters that the concussion happened in Friday's practice. Crosby missed the team's preseason game against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday as he told the team that he was not feeling well. He underwent tests for a concussion on Monday and missed practice.
The team noted that Crosby's status would be updated when more information becomes available.
He played in the World Cup of Hockey and was named the tournament MVP.

Crosby suffered from a neck injury as well as a concussion and its symptoms from 2011 to 2013.
