It’s usually an overreaction to say this about Game 2 of a seven-game series, but last night’s Mavericks-Jazz game was critical for Dallas.
With star player Luka Donu010diu0107 sidelined by a calf strain, the Mavs lost Game 1 at home, 99–93. Falling behind in the series 0–2 as it shifts to Utah—especially with Donu010diu0107’s status for the rest of the series up in the air—would have been awfully close to a death sentence.
