Shalaya Briston has been charged with attempted criminal homicide and aggravated assault in the stabbing of NFL free-agent wide receiver Terrelle Pryor at his Pittsburgh apartment, according to Amy Hudak of WPXI.
Hudak reported that Pittsburgh police said that Briston and Pryor were "mutual combatants." Pryor has been charged with simple assault.
ESPN's Adam Schefter tweeted Saturday that Pryor was stabbed in the chest and shoulder the night before and was placed in critical condition after undergoing surgery.
Per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, a "close family friend" told the reporter that Pryor is expected to survive and has family members accompanying him post-surgery.
