Senators announce 4 additional cases of COVID-19 inside organization

The Ottawa Senators announced Wednesday that an additional four members of the organization have received positive test results for the COVID-19 virus.

This doubles the amount of confirmed diagnoses in the NHL community, bringing the total to eight. Previously, there were two confirmed cases inside the Senators organization, as well as two members of the Colorado Avalanche that contracted the infection as well.

The Senators also announced that all the test results have been received since the trip and while the players have been in mandated isolation, and that all who tested positive have recovered.

“The Ottawa Senators' medical team continues to monitor players and staff and are following all appropriate and professional guidelines to help ensure the health and safety of our employees and the greater community,” the team stated in its press release.
