Jared Goff had a forgettable rookie season. There's no shame in that -- it happens every year, especially with quarterbacks drafted early and carrying the expectations of a franchise that has hit a rough patch.
In seven starts in 2016, Goff, the first-overall pick, completed just 54.6 percent of his throws for 1,089 yards with five touchdowns and seven interceptions. He was sacked 26 times and sported a passer rating of just 63.6. There's more: According to Football Outsiders' metrics, Goff ranked dead-last among all quarterbacks, behind even Brock Osweiler, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and even the guy he replaced, Case Keenum.
