The Seattle Seahawks signed Sam Darnold to a three-year contract earlier this offseason, but that does not necessarily mean they are completely settled on the quarterback position. Darnold's deal is effectively a one-year contract, as the Seahawks can get out of it with relatively little pain if they choose to do so after the 2025 season. Why would they want to do that? Well, it could mean Darnold regressed back into the quarterback he was for the majority of his career, which is why he's bounced around the league so many times. Or perhaps the Seahawks found a younger quarterback they're truly high on.
