Seahawks' Richard Sherman: ‘They didn’t blow the whistle, so I played until the whistle’

Play to the whistle, coaches preach on every level of football.

That, the Seahawks' Richard Sherman said after the game Monday night, is all he was doing on the controversial field-goal attempt that ended the first half against the Bills in a cascade of odd rules interpretations.

Sherman was offsides as he went for the block and ran into Bills kicker Dan Carpenter. He was called for offsides, but there was no roughing call.

At least Richard Sherman made an attempt to get out of the way of our kicker.
