Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider recently confirmed that defensive end Uchenna Nwosu underwent offseason surgery while making a radio appearance on Seattle Sports. Making a second appearance earlier this week, Schneider further clarified. Nwosu underwent surgery on his knee.
Nwosu suffered an MCL knee injury during last year's preseason from a cut block by Cleveland Browns guard Wyatt Teller in the final exhibition game. Schneider downplayed the procedure, calling it a "little knee deal" before adding that he was "rehabbing like crazy right now."
Nwosu has since taken a pay cut to remain with the Seahawks heading into 2025 when many expected him to be an offseason salary cap casualty.
