Cubs outfielder/catcher Kyle Schwarber, who suffered a violent outfield collision on Thursday night, has been diagnosed with an torn ACL and LCL in his left knee and will be out for remainder of the 2016 season, via Gordon Wittenmyer. According to MLB.com, the team informed reporters of the news prior to Friday's game.
The Cubs have placed Schwarber on the disabled list and called up INF/OF Munenori Kawasaki to take his spot on the active roster.
